Her musical instrument is delicately included but not taking away focus from the true art. That is the Kimono. The Kimono is vivid and flush with stunning colors. The pattern are mesmerizing and crisp.
My only wish, is to one day see her again in her natural habitat... with a background.
As is, this illustration is scoring high marks in my book already. 5 out of 5 stars. Love to be able to purchase a full size poster of this. Already requesting a print. I would recommend it as a Daily Deviation any day.

I'm glad you like it -- and reading this comment inspires me to either draw a background or redo it with a new theme ... perhaps an actual painting.
Thanks again.

the look on her face seems to convey two different things to me: one that she is trying to appear coy and refined, and the other that she reminds me of a little girl trying to keep her posture good like grandma taught her. i guess that last part is that there's an innocence to her expression that's very subtle.
the first thing that really drew my eye in though were her breasts, but i think that's how it's supposed to be since she is after all a seductress after all. it's like they're her shield to hide any weaknesses she might be showing, since when people look at her that's probably all they notice.
and my favorite part, and i dunno if this was intentional, is the placement of her feet. it's so cute! and bashful looking, and it compliments that little hint of hani's personality that i mentioned about her face earlier. i love the subtleties of, well i guess everything in life so this piece totally made me squee ⁀‿⁀

That last one is hard to explain, but I've known a few beautiful woman who are older who have such a maternal beauty to them, they are like real-life goddesses.
Thank you for the nice and thoughtful review!
